What Are Image Manipulation Tools?
Image manipulation tools convert pictures between formats — PNG to WebP, JPG to AVIF, WebP to PNG, and dozens more combinations. The right format can shrink a file by 70% with no visible difference, which means faster pages, lower bandwidth bills, and happier visitors.
Which Format Should You Use?
Photographs: use WebP or AVIF. Both are dramatically smaller than JPG at the same quality. WebP works everywhere; AVIF is even smaller but slightly less supported on very old devices.
Graphics with transparency: WebP or PNG. WebP gives you transparency at a fraction of PNG's file size.
Maximum compatibility: JPG for photos, PNG for graphics. Every device made in the last 20 years opens them.
Archival/print: TIFF or BMP preserve every pixel without lossy compression, at the cost of large files.

Your Images Never Leave Your Browser
This is the important part: conversions run locally using your device's own processing. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers. That makes these tools safe for private photos, client work, and anything you would not want sitting on a stranger's server — and it also means conversions are instant, with no upload wait.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will converting reduce image quality?
Converting between lossy formats (JPG → WebP) re-compresses the image, so do it once from the highest-quality source you have. Converting to a lossless format (PNG, TIFF) never loses quality, it just changes the container.
Why is my WebP so much smaller than the JPG?
WebP uses more advanced compression (predictive coding and better entropy compression). A typical photo is 25–35% smaller as WebP than as JPG at the same visual quality; AVIF can be 50% smaller.
Is there a file size limit?
Since processing happens on your device, the practical limit is your device's memory. Normal photos (up to ~50MP) convert in seconds.
Do converted images keep their metadata?
EXIF data (camera settings, location) may be stripped during conversion depending on the format. If you need to preserve or inspect metadata, convert first, then check — or keep your originals.
