List alphabetizer
Sort Any List
Alphabetizes line-by-line lists A–Z (or Z–A, or numerically). Turns chaotic pastes — keywords, names, inventory — into scannable, professional order in one click.
Sorting Gotchas
Computers sort "Zebra" before "apple" (uppercase first in ASCII). Numbers sort as text unless handled: "10" comes before "2". For case-insensitive or natural sorting of mixed content, normalize first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is sorting case-sensitive?
No — sorting ignores case, so apple and Banana order the way you would expect, without capitals jumping ahead.
How are numbers sorted?
Lines starting with digits sort before letters, ordered by their leading characters — 10 apples lands after 2 apples in plain text sorting, so pad numbers with zeros if that bothers you.
Does it remove duplicates?
No, sorting only reorders lines. Run the result through our Duplicate Lines Remover if you want a clean, unique, alphabetical list.
